FAQ’s about ONLINE LESSONS

You will need a PC, Apple or Android device with a stable internet connection, a headset (or microphone and speakers), and Skype.

  • How do our online courses work?

After you have enrolled and paid for your course, we will arrange times and dates for your lessons. In your first lesson one of our teachers will meet with you on Skype to discuss the course with you. You will also be introduced to our online virtual classroom.

  • How long are our lessons?

Each lesson is 45 minutes in length.

  • How do I start?

Send us the online enquiry form, which will ask you to select one of the course packages below.

    Number or lessons ZAR
    Set of 10 lessons 1700

We will then contact you and send you an invoice, with our payment details. Once you have paid us, we will contact you again to arrange lesson times to suit you.

  • What materials do you use?

Our teachers have access to a wide range of resources. Lessons are prepared in advance and the material used depends on your needs and your area of interest, so that your lessons are interesting and engaging. Our lessons are all based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) which means that students will cover all the grammar, vocabulary and language functions at each level.

  • Is there anything special about your course?

Yes! We also provide students with additional resources and activities on our online Learning Management System platform to help improve your grammar, reading, listening and writing and speaking skills. Tuition and support in our Online Classes is as good as it is in the classes at our school.

  • What levels do you teach?

We teach all levels according to the CEFR standard from Beginners (A1) to Proficiency (C2)

  • Do you offer support outside the online classes?

You can email or Skype us any time with any questions related to your course. You can also access information on our Learning Management System at any time, from anywhere.

  • How regularly can I have lessons?

We try to suit your busy schedule as best as possible, so whatever works for you – once per week, or more often if you prefer.

  • What happens if there are technical issues during the lesson?

If there are technical issues during the lessons, we have a 24-hour support team who will try and resolve them. If it is a separate issue with your PC, Apple or Android device we will try to assist you as best we can via Skype or email. If there is a problem with our system, we will arrange a free lesson at another time.
We highly recommend that you test your system thoroughly before each class (headset/microphone speakers/ internet connection).

  • Could you tell me about your teachers?

Our teachers are all first language South African English language teachers and are all very experienced. They are friendly, professional and committed to helping you improve your English.
